I just finish a large proposal featuring Intel’s Modular Server.
It was configured for a Citrix XenServer and featured 96 Gig of Ram, 1.9 Gig of Solid State Storage and 20 gigabit Ethernet ports.
My configuration totaled around $36,000.00 but did what a $50,000.00 IBM blade server can do. The application is healthcare hosting of billing and EMR applications so speed was my major concern.
