Micro Doctor has taken a new concept in marketing and bought it to Northeast Ohio. In the planning stages for months, it took hundreds of man hours to create the perfect event for businesses in Trumbull County to get together and mingle. The concept of an after work wine tasting combined with a business mixer is a unique marketing concept. This year, to celebrate 25 years of success, Micro Doctor held this one-of-a-kind business mixer event at the Trumbull Country Club in Warren, Ohio. The event was co-sponsored by PNC Bank, Crosby Mook Office Equipment, Burkey, Burkey & Scher LPA/Title Office, and Elite Digital Graphics. Together, Micro Doctor and sponsors mingled the night away enjoying a feast of hors d’oeuvres, and amazing wine from the Paso Robles region in California.
The event was invitation only, and provided the right about of class in a relaxed atmosphere. Each sponsor invited a selection of guests, all which were business owners or decision makers in Trumbull County. Sforza & Walker CPA, Warren Screw Machine, and Howland Orthopedic Center were among some of the guests attending that evening.
By having sponsors, we were able to have a premium wine tasting, food and great venue at Trumbull Country Club. The event was a success according to all attendees and sponsors and a second event is planned next month in Boardman at the Magic Tree Pub & Eatery. Last month’s event had 65 attendees and attendees raved about the wine selection. The night started with Matchbook Chardonnay, sponsored by Elite Digital Graphics, a printing and design company located in Warren, Ohio. The chilled, crisp white wine was the perfect way to start off the evening; unwinding from the work day. Next, Burkey, Burkey & Scher sponsored J. Lohr Merlot, followed by PNC Bank sponsoring Justin Cabernet. The night ended with Earthquake Zinfandel, sponsored by Crosby Mook Office Equipment, and Tobin James Petit Verdot, sponsored by Micro Doctor Inc. The food was amazing and each sponsor presented a 2 minute elevator pitch about their company.
Micro Doctor had special “25 years in business” wine glasses printed and imported some “special” wines for the event. Micro Doctor started in 1989 in the basement of Mark and Erica Richmond’s home. In 1992 Micro Doctor purchased its offices on Parkman Road. Micro Doctor has survived constant change and economic downturns and has become the area’s leading IT sales and service firm. The Boardman Area Event is being held at the Magic Tree on November 19th, 2014. Remember the sponsors are the only way to secure tickets. However some sponsors end up with extras after they invite their best customers and colleagues. Those tickets go into the pool that we give out to local businesses who might want to attend.
